Two New Associates Join Gridiron Capital

NEW CANAAN, Conn., September 2008 — Gridiron Capital, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Peter C. Kotz and Daniel A. Ron as Associates. Messrs. Kotz and Ron will be responsible for evaluating potential investment opportunities, performing due diligence and participating in the structuring, negotiation and closing of portfolio investments. They also will assist in the management of existing investments.

Prior to joining Gridiron Capital, Mr. Kotz was a Senior Associate at Altus Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on buyouts of lower middle-market companies. At Altus, Mr. Kotz was responsible for transaction execution, portfolio management and deal sourcing. Prior to Altus, Mr. Kotz was an Associate at Resource Financial Corporation, an investment bank, and with Iowa Commodities, Ltd., a commodity trading advisor. Mr. Kotz is a graduate of Boston College with a B.S. in Finance. Mr. Kotz also holds an M.B.A. with honors from University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and serves as President and on the board of directors for the Chicago Private Equity Network (CPEN).

Prior to joining Gridiron Capital, Mr. Ron worked at the Ford Motor Company as a Manufacturing Finance Analyst. While there, he worked with plant production teams at casting and assembly plants to improve plant performance. Prior to Ford, Mr. Ron was an Analyst with Mellon Ventures and Investor Growth Capital, where he evaluated venture and growth stage investment opportunities in the technology sector. Mr. Ron graduated with a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and also holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
