Mr. Tharrington has experience in private equity, in both back-office operations and leveraged buyout transactions, and in public accounting. Prior to joining Gridiron Capital in 2005, Mr. Tharrington was a vice president at Saugatuck Capital Company, a private equity firm that invests in lower middle-market companies. At Saugatuck, Mr. Tharrington was responsible for financial and tax reporting functions as well as working on leveraged buyout transactions. Prior to Saugatuck, Mr. Tharrington was at KPMG LLP in the audit and tax departments, working with public and private companies. Mr. Tharrington graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield University with a B.S. in accounting and received an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he earned membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. He is a C.P.A. licensed in the State of Connecticut.
